Basic formula

Energy added = battery capacity × charge percentage ÷ 100.

Charging cost = energy added × electricity price per kWh.

Example

Charging 40 kWh at 0.20 per kWh costs 8 before losses.

Charging losses

Real cost can be slightly higher because charging is not 100% efficient.
